Return Policy
1. Purpose
At CouranCove.co, your satisfaction is our priority. Our Returns & Refunds Policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and is designed to make returning or exchanging items as straightforward as possible.
2. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Under the ACL, you are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if the product you purchased:
- Is faulty or defective
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the description or sample shown
- Does not perform as promised or is not fit for the intended purpose
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, but we may offer exchanges or store credit at our discretion (see Section 4).
3. What Can Be Returned
We accept returns for the following reasons:
- Faulty or defective goods
- Incorrect item received
- Product not as described
4. Change of Mind
We understand sometimes you may change your mind. While we are not required to offer a refund in these cases, we may offer an exchange or store credit if:
- The product is returned unused, in original packaging, and in resellable condition
- The return request is made within 14 days of receiving the item
- Proof of purchase is provided
Note: Some items such as marine safety equipment, custom-made goods, or opened consumables cannot be returned for change of mind due to hygiene, safety, or regulatory reasons.
5. How to Return an Item
To request a return, please:
1. Contact our customer service team at Ops@courancove.co with your order number, reason for return, and photos if applicable.
2. Wait for approval and return instructions.
3. Send the item back using a trackable shipping method (return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect).
6. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days of receiving the returned item.
- If the product was purchased with store credit or a gift voucher, the refund will be issued as store credit.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a faulty product.
7. Marine & Off-Grid Products
Given the specialised nature of marine and off-grid equipment:
- Items must be returned with all original manuals, parts, and accessories.
- Products that have been installed, used in water, or modified may not be eligible for return.
- Warranty claims will be processed in line with the manufacturer’s warranty and the ACL.
8. Services
For marine services or off-grid installations:
- If the service is not performed with due care and skill, you are entitled to have the service fixed, or to a refund in certain circumstances under the ACL.
- Service deposits are non-refundable unless the service is cancelled by CouranCove.co.
9. Exclusions
The following cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Perishable or consumable goods (e.g., lubricants, cleaners)
- Custom or special-order items
- Gift cards and store credits
